Unlike general-purpose chat tools, modules are shaped around higher-education assessment and course delivery.

How do AI credits work?

AI credits measure how much AI processing you use across Lectimax (grading, rubric generation, lesson plans, manuscript help, and other features). Heavier or longer tasks consume more credits than light ones.

Plans include a monthly credit allowance. As a rough guide, the Starter plan’s 600 credits is described on our Pricing (/pricing) page as about enough for on the order of ~120 deep-graded assignments per month—actual usage depends on document length, model choice, and settings.

What subscription plans do you offer?

We publish Basic, Starter, Professional, and Department tiers with different monthly AI credit pools, discounts, and support levels. Basic focuses on writing and thesis-oriented tools; Starter and above add the full grading and lesson-planning suite.

Do unused credits roll over?

Starter, Professional, and Department plans include a capped rollover of unused credits so a quiet month does not waste your allowance. Exact caps are shown on Pricing (/pricing). Basic does not advertise rollover—check the current plan card for the latest terms.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

You can manage your subscription from your account billing area in the app. Upgrades and downgrades follow your payment provider’s rules; if anything looks wrong, email support@lectimax.com (mailto:support@lectimax.com) and we will help.

What modules are included?

Lectimax includes a core set aimed at teaching and assessment—such as intelligent lesson planning, the Rubrica rubric library and authoring flow, deep grading and integrity-related tooling, and thesis/research scaffolding (including supervisor-oriented views where available).

Expanded capabilities include JournalPal, thesis tracker features, question-bank style tools, and analytics-style surfaces. The live module list appears in the app navigation and on Features (/features).

Is Lectimax a replacement for our LMS?

No. Lectimax is not a full learning management system. It complements how you plan courses, build rubrics, draft feedback, and supervise research. Many institutions will continue to use an LMS for submissions, grades export, and official records—we focus on the lecturer workflow around those tasks.

Are my uploads used to train AI models?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not use your uploaded content to train public or third-party AI models. Processing happens only to deliver the service you asked for, as described in our Privacy policy (/privacy).

Is my institution’s data visible to other universities?

Accepted Answer

No. Materials from your account are not shared with or made visible to other institutions. Integrity-related comparisons run in the context of delivering the service to you—not to build cross-customer datasets. For full wording, see the Privacy policy (/privacy).

How is data protected in transit and at rest?

We protect data in transit with HTTPS and host on secure infrastructure with trusted providers for authentication, billing, and AI processing—summarised on our marketing pages and expanded in the Privacy policy (/privacy).

Does Lectimax submit final grades without lecturer review?

Accepted Answer

No. AI-assisted grading produces structured feedback and suggested outcomes as proposals you can review, edit, and accept. You remain responsible for what is recorded for students and for complying with your institution’s assessment rules.

What are integrity checks?

Integrity tooling helps surface signals that may warrant a closer look—such as unusual similarity patterns within cohorts you are already assessing. It is scoped to your account and meant to support your academic judgement, not to replace policy decisions or official misconduct processes.

How is Lectimax different from generic AI chat apps?

Lectimax is workflow-shaped for higher education: rubric-aware grading flows, reusable criteria libraries, lesson and thesis tooling, and privacy commitments suited to academic work. General tools rarely encode those boundaries or module boundaries in one product.
